Exclusive Wedding Photography at Elysium Hotel // Thanos & Elena
Every little girl once dreams of having the perfect wedding. It is an inevitable part of our nature and culture that even if later on you decide against, you just can’t resist thinking of; perhaps inspired by your favourite aunt’s wedding day or your own parents wedding photographs. And lets admit it, who hasn’t secretly worn their mother’s high heels and dresses -only to fall flat on their face seconds later- in attempts of implementing this irresistible wedding fantasy ?
Of course there are the ones that grow up only to hate the idea of getting married, but there are also those who are lucky enough to materialise their wildest dreams and organise the fiercest of weddings. Amongst the latter, was the lovely Elena with her husband Thanos, and may I say it was more than a pleasure to work with them on it. Elena was greatly dedicated to the cause; she was more than prepared and sure of how she wanted her wedding day to feel and look like and this was conveyed beautifully in the end result of our excellent cooperation. Her stunning personality and clarity created what I would describe as mutual respect between us, and I am proud I can even consider her as a friend of mine now. Interestingly, the couple had finally settled after 15 years of an amazing yet complicated relationship, as the bride shared with us, and their wedding was a beautiful celebration of both the years that passed as well as the exciting years to come.
Contrary to common belief, fall weddings can be equally mesmerising as spring ones, and this one was no exception. It was an elegant, all-white themed wedding with some gold accents and the ceremony took place in the spacious Apostles’ Paul’s and Varnavas’ church in Paphos while the dinner was held in Elysium Hotel – a five-star luxury hotel on the west coast of Cyprus. Overall, it was an emotional gathering of the couple’s close friends and relatives that involved a lot of singing and dancing until morning hours. This lead to a series of happy moments and memories, captured in little pixels, as shown below. Enjoy!
